Supporting Women Through the Perinatal Period
Compassionate therapy supporting adolescent girls and women through body image challenges, disordered eating, and eating disorder recovery across pregnancy, postpartum, and life transitions.

Support for Women at Every Stage
Pregnancy, postpartum, and major life transitions can bring profound changes to how women experience their bodies, food, and sense of self. For many, these seasons can stir up long-standing body image distress, anxiety around weight or eating, or a return of eating disorder thoughts—even after years of feeling stable.
I offer compassionate, thoughtful therapy for adolescent girls and adult women navigating body image concerns, disordered eating, and eating disorder recovery, with specialized support during pregnancy and the postpartum period.
I commonly work with clients who are experiencing:
-
Persistent body image distress or negative self-talk
-
Disordered eating patterns or eating disorder recovery
-
Fear of weight gain or loss of control around food
-
Body checking, food guilt, or rigid food rules
-
Anxiety related to pregnancy-related body changes
-
Postpartum anxiety or emotional overwhelm
-
Difficulty reconnecting with one’s body after birth
-
Concerns about feeding, nourishment, or “doing it right” as a parent
My work centers on helping women build a more trusting, respectful relationship with their bodies—especially during times when that relationship feels strained or unfamiliar.
Many of my clients are high-functioning, insightful women who appear “fine” on the outside, yet feel exhausted by the mental load they carry around food, weight, and their bodies.

Specialized Support During
Pregnancy & Postpartum
The perinatal period can be a particularly vulnerable time for those with a history of body image concerns or eating disorders. Physical changes, medical monitoring, and cultural messaging about pregnancy and postpartum bodies can intensify anxiety, shame, or self-criticism.

In our work together, we gently explore these experiences while prioritizing both emotional well-being and physical health. Therapy offers a space to slow down, untangle unhelpful patterns, and develop more flexible, compassionate ways of relating to food and your body.
When appropriate, I collaborate with medical providers to support holistic care.

My Approach
My therapeutic style is warm, grounded, and collaborative. I avoid rigid or one-size-fits-all treatment models, instead tailoring therapy to each client’s unique history, needs, and values.

I aim to help clients:
-
Reduce body-focused anxiety and preoccupation
-
Increase trust in internal cues and bodily signals
-
Develop a more compassionate internal dialogue
-
Navigate identity shifts related to motherhood or adulthood
-
Feel more present and at ease in their daily lives
Is This a Good Fit?
You may benefit from working with me if:

You feel stuck in cycles of body dissatisfaction or food-related anxiety
-
Pregnancy or postpartum has resurfaced old struggles

You are seeking therapy that honors both mental and physical health
